The construction industry is one of the sectors that will open jobs for migrant workers, including Filipinos, in Canada.
Labor Attaché Rachel Zozobrado-Nagayo said there’s a possible employment opportunity for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in the flourishing construction industry in Toronto.
Zozobrado-Nagayo said in a virtual forum that the construction industry in Canada is booming even during the pandemic and that can possibly recruit Filipino workers. She added that they are looking for welders, chief operators, and then in the construction industry in Quebec. They also expect an increase in the demand for OFWs since nobody in Canada would like to work in construction.
